Featured Partner: Sound Perfection of Ohio

This is a photo from our 2008 Old Hilliardfest Art & Street Fair. That particular year we needed to host it at the Franklin County Fairgrounds because the city was doing construction work in downtown Old Hilliard. The photo depicts the midway of the festival with the Main Stage at the end. The festival was at the fairgrounds from 2006 to 2008, but Sound Perfection of Ohio has been a valued partner for many years.

Sound Perfection of Ohio has built their reputation in the concert environment by providing quality sound reinforcement, stage rental and lighting with highly qualified engineers for today’s top names in music. Their rental department includes lifts, truss, lighting, staging, projectors, screens, speakers and much more. When it comes to the Old Hilliardfest Art & Street Fair, Sound Perfection of Ohio has provided the live audio support we've needed for our festival. From their staging, lighting, sound equipment, and their staff who set it all up, run it, and take it all back down for our one day festival, they're true professionals, dedicated civic leaders, and true friends of our festival.

A Chance to Win Free Advertising in Our Festival Program

Old Hilliardfest will be promoting a number of online contests this year to help promote the 2013 Old Hilliardfest Art & Street Fair. These contests are an effort to help drive individuals to our website and social media sites - Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, YouTube, and Ustream. The end result, of course, being to increase attendance at the festival on September 14, 2013.

Our first contest is designed to help increase our base of followers on Twitter. Our Twitter base is still small, but we only created our Twitter account last year and were just learning how great Twitter is, and then last year's festival had already come and gone. This year we hope to make more use of Twitter, both as an advertising tool and to communicate with the community.

Our first social media contest is simple. 1) Follow @OldHilliardfest on Twitter. 2) Mention @OldHilliardfest and #OHF2013 in a tweet. 3) You'll be entered* to win a free business card size advertisement in our 2013 festival program. That simple! Free advertising for your business, a $100 value. Or, if you're not a business, you could use the advertising space to shout out to your friends and/or family. As long as it's appropriate, we don't mind, it's your free advertising space!

* The drawing will take place once our Twitter has reached 100 followers.

Featured Partner: Hilliard Arts Council

The Hilliard Arts Council is a non-profit community organization whose mission is to enhance the cultural and economic vitality of Hilliard, Ohio by inspiring, enlivening and educating our citizens through the arts. Each year they produce a summer musical where community members renew their lives as actors, singers, dancers, stage hands, etc. They also produce and perform other small theatre productions in the spring and fall of each year. They have a variety of free summer concerts at various venues throughout Hilliard. And the Arts Council has brought a variety of entertainers to perform in Hilliard as well as bringing several Broadway productions to town.

However, one of their larger undertakings for the year includes their partnership with the Old Hilliardfest Street Fair. Each year the Old Hilliardfest Art Fair offers a wide range of wonderful professional art for sale. Exhibitors pass a jury review to participate and all work is at a professional level. You will find dramatic jewelry, handsome ceramics, wood, watercolors, photographs, prints, and much more.
